Background & Personal Projects

Homelab & Server Architecture

Outside of class, I build and maintain local enterprise-grade hardware focused on storage and AI workloads. The core of my homelab is a Dell PowerEdge R730 running UnRAID. It’s equipped with dual Intel Xeon E5-2667 CPUs, SAS SSD arrays, and custom AIO liquid cooling.

For compute-heavy workloads, I run an NVIDIA Tesla V100 32GB for local LLM inference alongside an RTX 2060 Super, heavily utilizing virtual machine hardware passthrough.

Automotive Mechanics

I also handle extensive DIY mechanical maintenance on my 2013 BMW X5 (E70). This requires hands-on technical troubleshooting and tight-tolerance part replacements in a practical setting.

Recent independent work includes overhauling the accessory drive belt system, replacing heater control valves for thermal regulation, and installing new ignition coils to maintain engine timing.
